IEBC successfully conducted Abakaile, Loiyangalani, Ganda and Mutonguni County Assembly Ward by-Elections on 17th October, 2019. The by-elections were occasioned by successful election petitions in Abakaile (Election Petition no. 6 of 2018), Ganda (Election petition Appeal No. 5 of 2018 ) and Mutonguni (Election petition Appeal No. 1 of 2018) County Assembly Wards. In Loiyangalani CAW the vacancy was occasioned by the demise of Hon. Mark Napurdi Ekale on 29th April, 2019 while receiving treatment at Primia Hospital - Mombasa County.
