 10th Mar 2023

The Commission participated in the Eldoret National Agricultural Society of Kenya Show from 1st to 4th March 2023. The theme was 'Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture & Trade Initiates for Sustainable Economic Growth'.

Throughout the five-day exhibition, the Commission staff were at hand to answer questions on the electoral process including the conduct of referendum, Continuous Voter Registration, Voter Education and Boundary Delimitation. Thousands of students and members of the public stopped by the IEBC exhibition stand to learn more about the Commission’s mandate and Kenya’s electoral processes.

"We welcomed the public to interact with the Biometric Voter Registration (BVR), Kenya Integrated Election Management System (KIEMS) Kit, Statutory Forms, Voter education materials and the boundary delimitation requirements. The Commission also set up a dummy polling station, where visitors could exercise mock voting using sample ballot papers," said Irene Mutai, the Uasin Gishu County Election Manager.

The Commission’s hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed as the adjudicators from the ASK nominated the Commission’s exhibition stand as the best under the community projects/ service stand category. The Show attracted over 200 Exhibitors with new technologies and innovations on display.
