The Commission, keeping in line with Article 31 of the Constitution, held a workshop in Nakuru on 18th October 2023 to develop a policy and framework on Data Privacy and Protection. The Commission Secretary/CEO, Marjan Hussein Marjan, while opening the workshop, underscored the need for the Commission to have a framework, which will serve as a guide on the data privacy and protection.

The participants reviewed the existing legal framework with a view to ascertain actions that can be taken to enhance data privacy and protection in Commission activities. The workshop also recommended mechanisms that can foster privacy and data protection culture in the Commission.
