Commission Secretary/CEO Leads Staff in Blood Donation Drive
 30th Jun 2023

The Commission, in partnership with the Kenya Tissue and Transplant Authority (KTTA), held a blood donation drive at our Anniversary Towers office in Nairobi on Thursday, 29th June 2023.

Members of the public joined the Commission team in this noble course themed “Together, We Can Save Lives”. The blood donation process was safe, fast and simple. This was one way for the Commission to give back to the society through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

“The Commission recognizes the vital role that blood donations play in saving lives and improving healthcare services and that is why it prioritized having staff contribute to this noble course,” said Commission Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, Marjan H. Marjan.

Marjan led from the front and was among those who reported to the KTTA tents to offer support to the course accompanied by KTTA Ag. CEO Dr. Maurice Wakwabubi at Anniversary Towers, Ground Floor.  The Commission staff and members of the public came out in large numbers surpassing the target.

“Marjan, leading the dedicated Commission team, sets an inspiring example by donating blood, showcasing their commitment to serving the community beyond their election oversight role. Together, they demonstrate the power of giving back and making a difference,” KTTA said on their Facebook page.

Blood donation helps save lives and offers the donors a chance to know their blood group and maintain healthy iron levels.

Indeed, those who stepped forward proved to be altruistic and patriotic, and together in their noble gesture played their role in saving lives!
