Commission Staff Undertake Monitoring and Evaluation Training
 23rd Dec 2021

The Commission’s Directorate of Research Boundaries & Development (DRB&D) held a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) training workshop for M&E champions from 13 to 17 December 2021. The champions are drawn from the 9 Directorates at the headquarters and the 47 counties.

The training, which was facilitated by International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) M&E Experts, equipped the staff with requisite skills and knowledge in data collection, analysis and reporting.

The Commission’s Ag. CEO, Marjan H. Marjan, lauded IFES and DRB&D for improving the champion’s knowledge on M&E of electoral matters. “The Commission acknowledges the need for skilled, knowledgeable, talented and motivated human resource and will continuously seek to improve the capacity of staff in relevant areas through effective recruitment, training and redeployment,” said Marjan.

According to the Election Operation Plan (EOP) and Boundaries Review Operation Plan (BROP), Commission staff should undertake periodic trainings to equip themselves with requisite knowledge and skills on election management and boundary delimitation.

Dr. Catherine Kamindo, the Ag Director Research, Boundaries and Development, asked the champions to fully utilize the training opportunity and use the knowledge gained to improve M&E of Commission activities.
